The Puro-Air System is easy to install.
• It sits directly on the air handler.
• Virtually no maintenance is required, except for an annual replacement of the Germicidal Lamps. You will recieve a reminder when it's time to replace the bulbs.
• You may install the system yourself or pay for professional installation.
Germicidal or Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) lamps are used to disinfect and destroy pollutants in water and air through UV-based "advanced oxidation". UV energy is effective in killing biological contaminants such as mold/fungi, bacteria and viruses without the use of harmful chemicals. It is also effective in eliminating odor causing particles.

Unlike any ionic type units, only Puro-Air's Germicidal UV Lamps have built in ozone to kill odor. Not to mention, multiple ionic units are required to purify an entire home. Typically one per room.
